VW Group sold 2.1 million vehicles

The Volkswagen Group sold 2.1 million vehicles worldwide in the first quarter of the year. This is two percent less than in the same period last year. While deliveries increased significantly by 19 percent, particularly in South America, and rose slightly in the Asia-Pacific region, sales in Europe and North America fell by five and ten percent respectively. Thanks to the good business development in Financial Services, sales revenue of 75.5 billion euros remained "slightly" below the previous year's figure of 76.2 billion euros, according to the company.
