Nissan expands its Connect Services

Nissan has expanded the functions of its Connect Services. The revised Qashqai is the first model to offer access to the integrated Google build-in services. Among other things, they allow the use of Google Maps via the vehicle's infotainment system, which has been given an updated design. After logging in with a Google account, the user can also access saved and frequently visited locations, for example. Also on board is the Google Assistant, which can be started using the "Hey Google" voice command. Among other things, it can be used to activate navigation and answer phone calls without having to take your eyes off the road.

The new generation of Nissan Connect services also offers a wide range of apps that can be downloaded from Google Play. For example, your favorite music and podcasts can be integrated into the vehicle.

Functions such as route guidance and remote control of the air conditioning can be shared via Nissan Connect with a family account. The range of functions in the Connect Services app has been doubled. It now also reminds users of doors or windows that are still open after leaving the vehicle, as well as of maintenance appointments and allows them to book a workshop visit directly. Owners of electric vehicles can use the application to charge their vehicle when electricity prices are low. The remaining battery capacity is also taken into account.

The new services will gradually be introduced in other model ranges of the brand. (aum)
