New spearhead from Affalterbach
The second generation of the Mercedes-AMG GT Coupé rolls out to the starting line. The new top model in the Affalterbach range comes with high-tech features as standard, such as rear-axle steering, suspension with active roll stabilization and active aerodynamics. The sports coupe also now brings the power of its 4.0-liter V8 biturbo engine to the road for the first time with a fully variable all-wheel drive system called AMG Performance 4Matic+. In addition, the extended dimensional concept with its layout as a 2+2 seater for a sports car in this class creates a good sense of space for travelers and plenty of room for their luggage.
"The new AMG GT Coupé combines highly dynamic driving characteristics and pronounced sportiness with a high level of everyday comfort. Our new GT is clearly the top-of-the-line product in our broad portfolio," says AMG CEO Michael Schiebe.
It will be launched as the AMG GT 63 4MATIC+ Coupé with 585 hp (430 kW) and the AMG GT 55 4MATIC+ Coupé with 476 hp (350 kW) output. Prices have not yet been determined. (aum)
