Ford puts the Mustang Mach-E Rally on the road

Ford will also offer the Mustang Mach-E in the new "Rally" version from spring. It is based on the twin-engine GT, offers a special chassis with two centimeters more ground clearance and the "Rally Sport" driving mode. The traction battery has a net capacity of 91 kilowatt hours. While the output of 358 kW (487 hp) remains unchanged compared with the GT, Ford is aiming to increase torque to around 800 Newton meters.

The 385-millimeter brake discs on the front axle have red-painted calipers, and covers for the underbody protect the engines from stone chips. White-painted 19-inch alloy wheels with 255/55 Michelin Cross Climate 2, optionally available mud flaps and a Focus RS-style rear wing are further features.

At the front, there is a customized front spoiler and rally-style fog lights. As on competition cars, the front apron features a special attachment point for tow ropes. Two rally stripes, color-coordinated with the respective bodywork acxcoration, round off the appearance. The interior design picks up the color of the wheel rims with white elements for the dashboard, the lower spokes of the steering wheel and the decorative stitching on the door trim. The sports seats also feature glossy white inserts for the backrests, whose surface also receives "Mach-E Rally" embossing. (aum)
