In 2003, Ducati launched a new model that polarized the market and can be considered a crossover bike: the Multistrada 1000 DS. In the meantime, the Multistrada has evolved into a great touring enduro. But it is also a pioneer of technologies such as Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) and Blind Spot Detection (BSD). Three years ago, the Multistrada V4 was the first motorcycle in the world with front and rear radar. Ten years earlier, the first riding modes had already been introduced - today a matter of course for almost all manufacturers.
Ducati is celebrating the 20-year history of the Multistrada with the special exhibition "Multistrada 20th - Twenty Years of Evolutionary Exploration" at the factory museum in Bologna. It is on view through early October except on Wednesdays and is complemented by a short documentary film. Ducati also shows the history of the Multistrada in the article "Multistrada Dynasty" on its website. (aum)
