The Audi from the ice
Audi is launching the RS e-Tron GT in a special "Ice Race Edition" to mark the 40th anniversary of Audi Sport GmbH (formerly Quattro GmbH). It makes reference to the GP Ice Race in Austria. The base color is Florettsilber metallic, which stands for ice critsalle. The white and purple partial foiling are meant to evoke snow and shimmering ski goggles. The carbon roof is black.
In the interior, the seat centers, shoulder arches and side bolsters are in diamond silver leather, with black sections and contrasting purple stitching. The leather Alcantara steering wheel has a twelve o'clock position analogous to racing cars. With the modified background image in the MMI, the words "RS e-tron GT ice race edition" are displayed in the lower left-hand section of the screen. The individual vehicle number is displayed at the bottom right. The ambient lighting switches to purple when the mountain theme is selected.
The RS e-Tron GT Ice Race Edition will be produced 99 times throughout Europe. (aum)
