Kawasaki asks its 125 to the socket

Kawasaki will be the first Japanese volume manufacturer to launch two electric light motorcycles for the A1 driving license class. They are based on the Z 125 and Ninja 125, but have a more stable chassis with mid-range dimensions. The engine on the Ze-1 and Ninjae-1 has a continuous output of 5 kW (7 hp) and delivers 9 kW (12 hp) at peak. As a top speed Kawasaki mentions 99 km/h, information on the range has not yet been given.

It's hard to tell that the fully disguised Ninjae-1 is an electric motorcycle, while the naked Ze-1 openly displays the power donors hanging at an angle in the Giter tube frame. Both models have ASB and are deliberately fitted with two batteries to make it easier to remove the battery. There are two riding modes (Road and Eco) as well as an "E-Boost" button on the right-hand side of the handlebars for short-term access to maximum power. In addition, a "Walk Mode" is available as a maneuvering and pushing aid (also in reverse). The TFT display can be connected to the cell phone.

Prices and the market launch date are to be announced shortly. (aum)
