Honda makes the Africa Twin more steam

With a higher compression ratio, modified valve timing, optimized control electronics and a modified silencer, Honda has given the Africa Twin more steam. With unchanged power output of 102 hp, torque increases by seven percent to 112 Newton meters. They are also already at 5500 revolutions per minute and thus 750 tours earlier than the previous value. Honda promises through the modifications more pull in the lower and middle speed range. In addition, the shifting characteristics of the optional dual-clutch transmission have been refined. More long-distance comfort is provided by the new and visually revised fairing with five-way adjustable windshield.

For the new model year, a semi-active Showa suspension system is available as an option for the first time. Previously only available for the Adventure Sports variant, this is now standard equipment, as is the new 19-inch front wheel. The Adventure Sports also gets a modified front end to lower the center of gravity, shortened suspension travel with a lower seat height and a wider front tire. These measures are intended to improve performance on asphalt.

The 2024 model year Honda Afrca Twin goes on sale next month. (aum)
