The Multistrada V4 learns racing

Ducati is expanding its Multistrada range with the V4 RS, which will make its debut at Milan's EICMA show (Nov. 7-12, 2023). Key features of the race-ready machine are the 1.1-liter superbike engine derived from the Panigale and Streetfighrter, respectively, and the Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak chassis. The power of the forced-induction four-cylinder has been cut back to 180 hp (132 kW) for the new Multistrada, but is still ten hp more than usual for the range. The rev limiter does not kick in until 13,500 rpm, and the final gear ratio has been designed to be shorter. The exhaust system with muffler from new partner Akrapovic was developed specifically for the Multistrada V4 RS.

The single-sided swingarm, forged aluminum wheels and exclusive titanium rear frame, as well as other lighter components, reduce weight. The RS is routed over a 17-inch front wheel with modified steering head angle. Also on board is the V4 S electronics package including adaptive cruise control and blind spot warning.

The RS is the first Multistrada to feature the "Full" riding mode for the highest possible performance. All other riding settings have been specially adapted to this model and feature "High", "Medium" and "Low" levels. In addition, the new Ducati is equipped with a three-stage adjustable engine brake.

The V4 RS offers a sportier riding position than the Multistrada V4, with higher and more rearward footpegs to increase the maximum lean angle. The handlebars, rigidly connected to the triple clamp, are lower, narrower and less curved, and the grips are softer and differently designed. There is an "RS" logo on the paintwork, on the key and in the graphics of the display. The Ducati Multistrada V4 RS is produced in a numbered series. The number is on a black anodized aluminum plate decorated with the Italian flag, which is mounted on the handlebar clamp. Further individualization possibilities are offered by special accessories.
