Sajjad Khan becomes Porsche Board Member for Car IT

Porsche is expanding its executive board team with immediate effect with Sajjad Khan, who is to head the newly created Car IT department, which will be responsible for the topics of connectivity and infotainment as well as the integration of external systems into the vehicle. The 50-year-old digital expert comes from Mercedes-Benz, where he served as Chief Technology Officer and divisional board member until August 2021. At Porsche's development center in Weissach, Sajjad Khan will share office space with Michael Steiner, Member of the Board of Management for Research and Development.

"Sajjad Khan enjoys an excellent reputation worldwide as a digital expert," says VW and Porsche CEO Oliver Blume. "He will effectively strengthen our position in global competition with his team." For Sajjad Khan, the task is clear: "Car IT will continue to gain importance as a success factor in the future. Our task is to meet the high standards of exclusivity and performance typical of Porsche in all respects." (aum)
