Ducati brings the most powerful single cylinder

After Triumph with the 400cc, Ducati will also be offering a single-cylinder for the first time in a long time. The Hypermotard 698, available from January, is powered by half the V2 engine of the Panigale 1299 and delivers 78 hp (57 kW) at 9750 rpm. This means it easily outperforms the KTM 690 and can be considered the most powerful production single-cylinder on the market. The maximum torque of 63 Newton meters is available at 8000 rpm.

The Ducati Hypermotard 698 Mono rolls on 17-inch wheels and adopts many electronic riding aids from the Panigale V4. It is also the brand's first model to feature four-stage ABS. There are four riding modes, each with three setting levels, the so-called "Low", "Mid" and "High" power modes. The dry weight is 151 kilograms and the suspension elements are fully adjustable.

The price of the Hypermotard 698 Mono, which is available in two versions, starts at 12,390 euros. (aum)
