E-mobility reaches horse transportation

Trailer specialist Böckmann has presented a fully electric horse transporter. The Compact concept vehicle was developed in close cooperation with A+T Nutzfahrzeuge and Renault Trucks. The first concept vehicle for the fully electric transportation of horses. The horse compartment is equipped with a high, variable partition wall, a three-door system and a passageway to the saddle compartment. The side padding on the aluminum partition wall and side wall provides the necessary safety.

A Renault Trucks E-Tech Master with a 57 kW (75 hp) electric motor serves as the basis. The permissible total weight is 3.5 tons. With an outside temperature of 20 degrees and one horse, the range is around 120 kilometers. Böckmann sees this as sufficient scope for driving to regular training sessions and to the vet, but also to the odd regional competition. (aum)
