Mercedes-AMG SL with over 800 hp

Mercedes-AMG hybridizes the SL. As the SL 63 S E Performance, the new top model in the series has an output of 816 hp (600 kW) and delivers a maximum torque of 1420 Newton meters. The combination of a 4.0-liter V8 at the front and a 150-kW electric motor (204 hp) at the rear axle is familiar from the GT and ensures acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.9 seconds. The top speed of the 2+2-seater is 317 km/h and the standard fuel consumption is 7.7 liters per 100 kilometers. Eight driving modes are available.

The Mercedes-AMG SL 63 S E Performance is equipped with rear-axle steering. An active and patented aerodynamic element is located in the underbody in front of the engine. It reacts to the drive programs and automatically extends downwards by around 40 millimetres at a speed of 80 km/h. The so-called Venturi effect additionally sucks the car onto the road. Another component of the high-performance plug-in hybrid is the extendable spoiler, which is seamlessly integrated into the boot lid and can be adjusted in five positions. (aum)
