The motorcycle market in Germany took a dip last month. According to the German Motorcycle Industry Association (IVM), there were 6,641 newly registered machines, a fifth fewer sales than in November 2022. However, the first eleven months of the year still saw an increase of 8.8% to 208,399 motorcycles and scooters with an engine capacity of over 50 cubic centimetres. That is over 16,500 vehicles more than in the same period last year.
The classic motorcycle segment recorded 3720 new registrations in November. This is six percent less than a year ago. Scooters fell by 33.2 percent, with 516 deliveries. In the case of light motorcycles, the drop was 28 percent with 1292 new registrations, while demand for light scooters fell by 37.5 percent to 1113 units compared to November last year. (aum)
