McLaren: 15 hp more and ten kilos less
McLaren is replacing the GT with the GTS, which can be ordered immediately. The successor has 15 hp more and weighs ten kilograms less. The 4.0-liter V8 turbo with 635 hp (467 kW) meets a vehicle weight of 1520 kilograms. This results in a class-leading power-to-weight ratio of 418 hp per ton. It goes from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.2 seconds. It reaches 200 km/h in 8.9 seconds.
Lifting the vehicle will also be faster in future. The ground clearance of the GTS can also be increased by two centimetres for city driving. The nose of the vehicle can be raised or lowered in four seconds - more than twice as fast as before.
McLaren has not yet announced a price for the vehicle. However, it is likely to be in excess of 200,000 euros. (aum)
