Daihatsu has falsified crash test results

Daihatsu, which exited the German market in 2013, is said to have falsified crash test results for three and a half decades. According to various media reports, this is said to have been initiated at middle management level due to time pressure. This also includes some older models that Daihatsu supplied to parent company Toyota and Suzuki. Fuel consumption figures are also alleged to have been manipulated. Daihatsu has now temporarily halted all vehicle production. (aum)
