Porsche is strengthening its global golf commitment with title sponsorship in Singapore on the DP World Tour. The "Porsche Singapore Classic" will be held for the first time from March 21 to 24, 2024 at the Laguna National Golf Resort Club. The hole-in-one prize will celebrate a premiere: for the first time, a Porsche can be won on the DP World Tour in Asia. The recently unveiled Panamera Turbo E-Hybrid in the Madeira Gold Metallic paint finish will go for an ace during the four days of the tournament on hole 17.
The commitment in Southeast Asia complements the already global activities in customer sport around the Porsche Golf Cup and the Porsche Golf Circle. The expansion of golf in the important Asian market with a focus on Southeast Asia, Korea and Japan opens up the opportunity to increase the international visibility of the brand in the golf environment and at the same time to combine customer sports activities with professional golf activities.
The DP World Tour returned to Singapore last season after a nine-year break. The Laguna National Golf Resort Club with its two 18-hole courses is considered one of the outstanding venues for professional events. Since its opening in 1993, it has been home to several tournaments on the DP World Tour, the Asian Tour and the Korean LPGA Tour. The Porsche Singapore Classic is held on the Classic Course.
In 2024, Porsche will also once again be the official automotive partner of the Omega European Masters in Crans Montana through the involvement of its Swiss subsidiary. Porsche is also in discussions with the organizer and the DP World Tour regarding a continuation of its involvement in the European Open in Hamburg. (aum)
