Skoda starts production of the new Kodiaq

Skoda Auto has started production of the new Kodiaq at its Czech plant in Kvasiny. The company had previously invested 49 million euros in modernizing the production line, including the body shop, for the second generation of its large SUV. The Kodiaq II rolls off the production line on the same production line as the first generation.

With the start of production, Skoda has also relocated Superb production. In future, this will take place at the Volkswagen plant in Bratislava. This will create additional capacity in Kvasiny for the production of the Kodiaq and the Karoq. Up to 150,000 vehicles can roll off the production line there each year. The daily capacity for the Kodiaq will increase to up to 410 vehicles. (aum)
