Harley-Davidson Street Glide stronger and more digital
At Harley-Davidson, the completely revised Street Glide opens this year's round of new products, which includes five models from three model ranges. The Milwaukee-Eight 117 engine has been trimmed for more power and now delivers 109 hp (80 kW), four hp more than in the Street Glide ST. Peak power is also available earlier. The maximum torque increases from 168 to 175 Newton meters at 3500 rpm.
In the new year, the aerodynamically refined Batwing fairing is characterized by a narrow LED strip integrated at the side, which houses the indicators and daytime running lights. A 12.3-inch TFT color touchscreen replaces the previous analog instruments and some switches. The two loudspeaker systems mounted in the trim are powered by a new audio amplifier with an output of 200 watts. The redesigned driver's seat offers more comfort.
The new Street Glide is available at prices starting at 31,845 euros (Austria: 38,595 euros). It is also available from dealers as the CVO Street Glide with the even larger and more powerful Milwaukee Eight 121 drive and costs 46,595 euros with standard paintwork in Germany. (aum)
