DAF has already shown the way, and now Volvo is also offering trucks with a front that is pulled further forward. The 24 centimetre longer cab of the heavy-duty series enables aerodynamic optimizations. In conjunction with more efficient engines and a camera system in place of the rear-view mirrors, the Volvo FH Aero can save up to five percent fuel. The improved aerodynamics also ensure better driving stability in windy conditions. The aero cab is to be gradually introduced this year and next year for all drive types. The standard FH cab will continue to be offered depending on market demand. (aum)
