100 in one go

The world's largest vehicle handover of VW electric vans to date has taken place in Switzerland. The photovoltaic company Helion, which also offers heat pumps and charging solutions for electric cars, took delivery of 100 ID Buzz Cargo. They will replace the previous, conventionally powered service vehicles. The fleet will also be operated in a CO2-neutral manner using self-produced solar power.

To ensure that daily operations run smoothly, Helion has invested in the charging infrastructure and massively expanded it at all branches. The necessary infrastructure was financed for employees who have the option of charging at home. With an operating radius of usually around 100 kilometers, the public charging network is only used in exceptional cases. Helion plans to save around 300 tons of CO2 per year by switching to an e-fleet. (aum)
