The Volvo FM Low Entry is only available electrically
Volvo has developed its first truck model that is available exclusively with electric drive. The Volvo FM Low Entry is designed primarily for inner-city use as a refuse collection or fire department vehicle. The lowered and forward-set cab offers good visibility. The low entry and flat floor make it easy to get in and out. The up to three optional passenger seats are located at the rear of the cab and do not obstruct the driver's view.
The motor of the FM Low Entry has an output of 330 kW (449 hp). The four batteries with a total capacity of 360 kWh enable ranges of up to 200 kilometers. The truck is available in various axle configurations and with two cabs of different heights. Production will start in the second quarter. (aum)
