From spring, Renault will be offering the new Renault Master E-Tech Electric, which consumes over 27 percent less electricity than its predecessor. The transporter, which has been significantly optimized in terms of areodynamics, is based on a new platform and is available with two batteries of different sizes, which should enable a range of up to 460 kilometers. Customers can choose between two engine power levels, both of which deliver 300 Newton meters of torque. The payload is 1625 kilograms and the towing capacity is 2.5 tons.
Renault promises that a 130 kW DC fast-charging station can provide enough power for 250 kilometers in 30 minutes. A 22 kW wallbox at home charges the battery from ten to 100 percent in less than four hours. The battery-electric Master is also vehicle-to-load and vehicle-to-grid compatible. (aum)
