Mercedes-Benz CLE now also available as a convertible
The two-door Mercedes-Benz CLE, which is positioned between the C-Class and E-Class, can now also be ordered as a convertible at prices starting at 66,402 euros. The first vehicles will be delivered at the end of April.
The 4.85-metre-long open-top four-seater comes with an electric wind deflector and headroom heating as standard. The fabric soft top opens and closes in 20 seconds and up to a speed of 60 km/h, even while driving. The cockpit consists of a free-standing, 12.3-inch digital instrument display and the 11.9-inch driver-oriented central display in portrait format, which can be tilted electrically from 15 to 40 degrees to avoid distracting light reflections when the soft top is open.
The four engines produce 197 hp (145 kW) in the 220 d, 204 hp (150 kW) in the CLE 200, 258 hp (190 kW) in the 300 4-Matic and 381 hp (281 kW) in the 450 4-Matic. The 200 is also optionally available with all-wheel drive. The top-of-the-range model has a 3.0-liter six-cylinder engine, while the other three versions are four-cylinder models with a displacement of two liters. (aum)
