Preview: The R 5 returns
Renault is rolling into the future with a legendary model. The Renault 5 is being relaunched as an electric car. We will be there when the model is shown for the first time in Paris next week. Dacia renews the Spring, which is manufactured in China. Germany's most affordable electric car enters its second round with a new design.
Nissan's Head of Germany Vincent Ricoux can look back on a successful 2023 and is planning a significant increase in registration figures for the coming years. In an interview with Auto-Medienportal, the manager describes the future of the brand, which will primarily be electric.
It is now common practice for touring enduros to go the extra mile in terms of off-road capability. With the Rally, Ducati is also sending an even more off-road capable Desert X into the showrooms. Since the days of the GTI, they have been regarded as the benchmark in terms of dynamics and suitability for everyday use, and not just by younger car fans: Hot Hatches, compact, sporty hatchbacks. In the era of SUVs, however, the days of this type of vehicle are numbered. One of the last examples: the Audi RS 3 Sportback. With an output of 400 hp, it is one of the spearheads of its kind and is only surpassed by the Mercedes AMG A45 S (421 hp). We were on the road with a particularly eye-catching specimen - in the literal sense of the word.
The next generation is already in the starting blocks: But before the new Hyundai Santa Fe rolls into showrooms, we took the current edition of the SUV flagship for a farewell drive through Austria's snowy mountain landscape. In the top-of-the-range Signature version, the mid-range SUV has nothing to fear from comparison with its domestic competitors.
