The most environmentally friendly cars in their class

The consumer protection organization Green NCAP has determined the most environmentally friendly vehicles of the past year from its tests. The GWM Ora 03, previously marketed as the Ora Funky Cat, took first place in the electric car category with a score of 97%. It was also the winner in the small family cars category. The Opel/Vauxhall Mokka with a 1.5-liter engine and manual gearbox came out on top in the diesel category (57%) and the Skoda Kamiq 1.0 TSI (53%) in the petrol category.

In the upper mid-range category (executive car), the Tesla Model S scored best (97%). In the individual ratings for efficiency and greenhouse gas emissions, the sedan fell slightly behind the Ora. The Renault Kangoo E-Tech Electric (90%) received the best marks in the minivan (small MPV) category. The VW ID 5 won the middle class (96%), which Green NCAP leads in the Small SUV category.

The BYD Dolphin and the Hyundai Ioniq 6 were the first electric cars to receive a rating of 98% this year. (aum)
