After the 900 series, the Tiger 1200 is now also getting an extensive update. With a further refined engine and more comfort features, Triumph is sharpening the claws of its large touring enduro. The most interesting new feature is probably the active seat lowering by reducing the spring preload, which allows the Tiger to move down by two centimeters at the touch of a button when stationary. The two GT models will also offer more lean angle clearance in future thanks to the repositioning of the footrests.
When updating the model, the engineers ensured smoother torque development in the lower rev range, which above all improves the response of the three-cylinder engine off-road. In addition, various engine parts have been fine-tuned once again in order to increase running smoothness even on long journeys. The Explorer's damped handlebars and the newly profiled rider's seat now also contribute to this on the two Pro models.
Prices for the Triumph Tiger 1200, which is available in four versions, start at 20,545 euros plus delivery costs (Austria: 23,695 euros). The new model year will be available from April. (aum)
