Alpine A290 drifts in the Arctic Circle

With the A290, Alpine is launching a high-performance version of the new all-electric Renault 5 on the market this summer. Prototypes are currently doing their final test laps in the Arctic Circle in Sweden at temperatures as low as minus 30 degrees on the road and on the race track. The 3.99 meter short, 1.82 meter wide and 1.52 meter high sports car will have a flattened A290 sports steering wheel made of nappa leather with center markings and offers, among other things, an overtaking button on the steering wheel familiar from Formula 1. Other setting options include Recharge (RCH) and driving modes with one-touch access. (aum)
