Cupra is now also underlining its performance claim with the Born. As already known from the Formentor, it comes as a powerful VZ. The two letters stand for Veloz, which means "fast" in Spanish. In words and figures: The Cupra Born VZ produces 240 kW (326 hp) and develops a torque of 545 Newton meters. It has optimized chassis geometry and sporty steering. This enables the car to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.5 seconds. The top speed is limited to 200 km/h, which is 40 km/h more than the base model. Cupra gives a range of up to 570 kilometers.
Inside, the VZ Cup offers bucket seats (optional bucket seats) and a new, larger 12.9-inch infotainment system as well as a 425-watt audio system from Sennheiser with ten loudspeakers.
Cupra has not yet announced a price for the Born VZ. (aum)
