Opel is expanding the Corsa's drive range with a 48-volt hybrid version. Under the hood is a specially developed 1.2-liter three-cylinder turbo with a choice of 100 hp (74 kW) or 136 hp (100 kW). It is linked to a 21 kW (28 hp) electric motor, which should enable petrol-free driving for up to one kilometer at low speeds. Opel speaks of fuel savings of around 18 percent. The WLTP standard figures for the Corsa Hybrid range between 4.5 and 4.8 liters per 100 kilometers. Shifting is handled by a six-speed dual-clutch transmission. Three driving modes are available. The price list starts at 26,100 euros. (aum)
