Hopper wants to finally take off in the summer

After a year's delay, the time has now come for the summer: The German start-up Hopper wants to finally launch its covered three-wheeled pedelec on the market. Initially, a "First Edition" of at least 60 vehicles is planned. The two-seater Hopper is built in Hamburg and is legally considered a bicycle. The unusual vehicle is priced at 13,500 euros.

Among other things, the manufacturer advertises the weather protection and the fact that the 2.12-metre-long tricycle can also be parked crosswise in parking spaces at the side of the road in the city. The Hopper also offers 330 liters of rear storage space, car-like controls including high beam, a small armrest with storage space and space for two children instead of one adult in the rear seat.
