The wind blows even stronger at Triumph
The wind will be blowing a little stronger at Triumph in future: for the new model year, the Rocket 3 will have 15 hp (eleven kW) more and the suffix "Storm" in the model designation. The maximum torque of what is still the largest displacement series engine in the motorcycle increases once again from 221 Newton meters to 225 Nm at 4000 rpm.
The 2.5-liter three-cylinder engine in the Rocket 3 Storm now delivers 182 hp (134 kW) at 7000 rpm. New rims contribute to the mass reduction. Externally, the Storm also features a new color scheme. The two-tone paintwork is complemented by blackened engine parts.
The Rocket 3 is still available as a pure roadster version R and as a slightly more comfort-oriented GT with windshield, touring seat, sissy bar, differently positioned handlebars and adjustable footrests further forward. Both models have optimized cornering ABS and cornering traction control as well as a hill-hold function. They can be further refined and customized with over 50 original accessories.
The Triumph Rocket 3 Storm R costs 25,895 euros (Austria: 29,995 euros) and the Storm GT 26,695 (30,995) euros. Both models will go on sale these days. (aum)
