Peugeot sets itself higher goals in the WEC

After its first full season in the World Endurance Championship with a satisfactory performance at Le Mans and a first podium finish at Monza, Peugeot is entering the World Endurance Championship with confidence. The aim is to take a leading role in the hypercar class this year with the optimized 9X8.

For example, the Peugeot 9X8 will run on tires of different widths on the front and rear axles. They will be slightly narrower at the front than before and wider at the rear. "In order to achieve a better aerodynamic balance, we also had to redistribute the aerodynamic loads, which meant that we redesigned around 90 percent of the body parts and, in particular, added the rear wing," explains Oliver Jansonnie, Technical Director of PEUGEOT Sport. The new self-confidence and self-assurance is also reflected in a completely new graphic design, which uses the brand emblem of the lion's head in various scales. The paintwork is based on the motorsport colors black, grey, white and kryptonite.

After the 2023 version was used at the opening race in , the new 9X8 will make its debut on April 21 at the Six Hours of Imola. (aum)
