Aston Martin's new V12

Aston Martin has developed a new V12 based on its predecessor. The twin-turbo delivers 835 hp (614 kW) and a maximum torque of 1000 Newton meters. The technical features include a reinforced cylinder block and reinforced connecting rods, redesigned cylinder heads with reprofiled camshafts and new intake and exhaust ports. Repositioned spark plugs and new injection nozzles with a higher flow rate ensure optimized combustion. In addition, new turbochargers with a higher speed and lower moment of inertia ensure higher performance and improved throttle response.

The drive is intended for the brand's most exclusive, limited edition models. A corresponding first model will be presented in the course of the year. (aum)
