With over 100,000 journeys, more than one million kilometers have been completed - this is the interim result of "H2 Moves Berlin," with which Toyota, in association with Anglo American, the SafeDriver Group and the mobility service provider ENNOO, wants to demonstrate the everyday suitability of hydrogen-powered vehicles such as its fuel cell sedan Mirai. In the two-year pilot project, Germany's largest hydrogen fleet in commercial passenger transport will be driving through the German capital from the end of 2022.
The Mirai fleet, initially consisting of 50 vehicles, is to be successively expanded to up to 200 sedans with fuel cell drive systems. They will be used as an emission-free mobility option for event shuttles, such as those in use this year during the Berlinale or the Special Olympic World Games Berlin 2023, and will also be brokered via the Uber app. (aum)
