Update for Mercedes-Benz EQA and EQB

Mercedes-Benz has revised its two entry-level electric vehicles EQA and EQB. Visually, both models move up to their larger model brethren thanks to the black panel with starpattern at the front. In addition to the new generation of the MBUX infotainment system with improved voice control and central display as standard, both models now feature the Plug&Charge function, which starts the charging process automatically when the charging cable is plugged in without additional authentication.

Thanks to aerodynamic fine-tuning and tires with optimized rolling resistance, the WLTP ranges of the EQA are now said to be up to 560 kilometers. The new range maximization function, which switches off or restricts power consumers, is useful in this context.

In addition, there are driving assistance systems with improved sensor technology thanks to a new mono-multipurpose camera and rear-view camera. The optional Driving Assistance package contains improved functions in detail; for example, Active Lane Keeping Assist now works more comfortably with steering intervention instead of ESP. Keyword option: For the first time, a trailer hitch including ESP stabilization is available as an optional extra for the EQB with five seats.

The updated versions of the EQA and EQB can be ordered from fall 2023 and will roll into European dealerships at the beginning of 2024. (aum)
