In addition to the new California Concept, Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles is also showing a converted Amarok "PanAmericana" at the Caravan Salon in Düsseldorf. Its special features: The pickup was extended by the equipment supplier Genesis Import from Schwarzach to the overlander / camping mobile, among other things with roof tent, a 270-degree awning and a removed Alu-Cab hardtop.
The basis is a black-painted Amarok Panamericana with all-wheel drive, rear differential lock, 177 kW output, a 3.0L V6 TDI engine and up to 600 Newton meters of torque. Modifications to the suspension, BF Goodrich AT tires and styling are also part of the conversion scope. Additional LED lighting on the roof or auxiliary headlights on the front end, for example for driving through Scandinavia, are also fitted.
Out of the box, the pickup is equipped with LED matrix headlights and LED taillights, driver and passenger seats with ten-way power adjustment, infotainment system with 12-inch touch color display and navigation, as well as leather seats and a leather-trimmed cockpit. Standard onboard assistance systems include parking assist, including front and rear parking assist and exit assist, intelligent speed assist, ACC and traffic sign recognition. (aum)
