VW ID 7 as a performance car

Volkswagen brought a show car to the fan-organized ID meeting in Locarno. The ID X Performance is based on the ID 7. The sports suspension with stiff springs lowers the sedan six centimeters, and the track has been widened by 80 millimeters. The front splitter and rear diffuser are made of carbon. The VW ID 7 rolls on 20-inch alloy wheels with center lock and 265 racing tires. At the rear, a carbon wing provides the necessary downforce. The bucket seats are also made of carbon. Red accents in the interior also underscore the dynamic claim.

In the show car, Volkswagen supplements the permanently excited synchronous motor on the rear axle with an additional asynchronous motor on the front axle to create an all-wheel drive system. The dual-motor drive has an output of 411 kW (558 hp) and a boost function. The drive torque is controlled by a driving dynamics manager, which is operated via a separate display in the center console and also controls the rear-axle transverse lock. (aum)
