BMW invests in the electric future of the British Mini plants

BMW has announced investments of over 600 million pounds (approx. 700 million euros) in the British Mini plants in Oxford and Swindon. By the end of the decade, only electric cars are to leave Oxford. From 2026, the three-door Cooper and the Aceman will roll off the production line there as electric versions, with production starting next year initially in China. In the medium term, the British plant will have a production capacity of around 200,000 vehicles per year. (aum)
