Defender, a sub-brand of Jaguar Land Rover, is accompanying the Rugby World Cup in France, which runs until the end of October, and is providing the organizer with a fleet of plug-in hybrids. In addition, the Defender 110 "Rugby World Cup 2023 Limited Edition" model is available exclusively for the French market and only 23 units will be produced.
On the opening night of the World Cup, the brand also honored the "Defender Trailblazers". These are six people who enrich the sport of rugby through their personalities. They include, for example, a 90-year-old doctor who still doesn't hang up his jersey, para-athletes and the founder of the first queer-friendly rugby club in France. They received a very individual steel sculpture, using 3-D scanning technology from production waste to represent their respective Trailblazer. (aum)
