Tesla makes the first million in Europe

Tesla has delivered its millionth vehicle in Europe. The Californian electric pioneer sees the reasons for its success on the one hand in the continuously falling "average sales price", which has dropped by half in Europe since its beginnings in 2006. In fact, the drastic price cuts of recent months have made the Model Y the best-selling electric car in Europe.

Secondly, the steady expansion of the company's own Supercharger charging network has played a decisive role in reaching this one-million milestone. The provision of practical, efficient and, above all, reliable charging solutions is a problem for all other competitors, and not just in Germany. Tesla says it now operates more than 1,000 such fast-charging stations in Europe, with more than 13,000 pillars. In the first three quarters of the year, an average of eight more Supercharger charging stations per day were put into operation in the region. (aum)
