Europe's motorcycle markets are growing

In the five most important European markets, more than 90,000 motorcycles and scooters were sold in the first nine months of this year compared to the same period last year. The European manufacturers' association ACEM reports 875,985 new registrations. This is 11.8 percent more than in the same period last year. Italy, Germany, France and Spain reported increases of between 8.7 and 19.4 percent. Only in the UK did the market stagnate. With just under 190,500 new registrations, Germany remains the largest market in Europe behind Italy (271,5000 units).

In contrast, demand for 45 km/h mopeds and scooters fell significantly. From January to September, demand in the six main markets, including Germany, fell by a quarter to 155,098 units. (aum)
