Daimler starts series production of the Freightliner eM2
Daimler Truck has started series production of the Freightliner eM2 in Portland in the US state of Oergon. The medium-duty battery-electric truck with two-speed transmission is being built as a single- and twin-motor version. The weaker varainate (Class 6) produces up to 140 kW (190 hp) and travels around 290 kilometers on its 194-kWh battery. The twin-engine version (Class 7) offers a continuous output of up to 188 kW (255 hp). Thanks to the 291-kWh battery, up to 400 kilometers are possible on a single charge. (aum)
