New VW Tiguan starts from 36,600 euros
Volkswagen has started pre-sales of the new Tiguan. The third generation of the compact SUV is available in four equipment versions with eight drive systems, of which two 48-volt mild hybrids with 130 hp (96 kW) and 150 hp (110 kW) as well as a 150 hp (110 kW) turbodiesel can be ordered for the time being. Two plug-in hybrid drives are to follow next year, which should enable an electric range of around 100 kilometers and for the first time have a DC fast-charging function with up to 50 kW.
There should also be a new, self-explanatory cockpit landscape with additional digital services and apps. The latest generation of "Park Assist", which automates parking, the adaptive "DCC Pro" chassis and features such as a massage function for the front seats or the HD Matrix headlights from the Touareg are available as options. The basic version of the new Tiguan with a 96 kW (130 PS) 48V mild hybrid drive starts at prices from 36,600 euros. (aum)
