Stellantis has signed a letter of intent with CATL (Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Limited) to supply LFP battery cells and modules for the production of electric vehicles in Europe. The establishment of a joint venture is also being considered. Stellantis hopes that lithium iron phosphate technology will also lead to cheaper electric cars in the B and C segments. (aum)
