Francesco Bagnaia won the Valencia Grand Prix and is once again Moto GP World Champion. The Italian prevailed at the season finale in Valencia and finished the season ahead of two other Ducati riders: Jorge Martín (Pramac Racing Team) and Marco Bezzecchi (VR46 Racing Team). For Ducati, this marks the end of a record-breaking season. With Álvaro Bautista's title defense in the Superbike World Championship and Nicolò Bulega's first title win in the Supersport World Championship, two more series were won.
Ducati is the first manufacturer to win the Riders' and Manufacturers' World Championships in Moto GP and the Superbike World Championship twice in a row. The brand is also the only non-Japanese manufacturer ever to win the Moto GP. This year, the Italians have also recorded
the highest number of overall victories in a season (17 out of 20 races) and, with six, the record for the highest number of different riders to win at least one Grand Prix. (aum)
