Production of the Ineos Grenadier Quartermaster starts

Ineos Automotive has started series production of the new Grenadier Quartermaster five-seater double-cab pick-up in Hambach, France. With a wheelbase of 3.23 meters, it is the largest model in the series. The Station Wagon is 30.5 centimeters shorter. However, the drive is the same: The engine is a BMW 3.0-liter turbocharged inline six-cylinder in a petrol or diesel version, which drives all four wheels via an eight-speed automatic transmission from ZF.

The Quartermaster, which was unveiled at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in July, is named after the military officer responsible for supplying the troops. The loading area offers a payload of up to 760 kilograms and can also accommodate a Euro pallet.

Deliveries to customers in Europe are scheduled to begin in December; in the Asia-Pacific region, sub-Saharan Africa and the Middle East, they will follow shortly afterwards. In North America, the sales launch is planned for spring 2024.

Another model is planned for next year. With the extended chassis of the Quartermaster, drivetrain and driver's cab, it is aimed specifically at conversion specialists and body builders. (aum/av)
