From tomorrow until Sunday next week, Essen will be the Mecca for the sports car, tuning and classic car scene. Toyota is represented at the Essen Motor Show, the largest event of its kind, with an exclusive special model and is also celebrating the public premiere of the new C-HR and the Lexus LM luxury van.
Toyota Germany has developed an exclusive special edition model of the GR Supra to mark the 100th GR Supra GT4 produced. The road-legal "GT4 100th Edition Tribute" is based on the Lightweight with manual transmission and shares the exclusive exterior color in Plasma Orange with the collector's edition "100 Edition" of the GT4 racing car from Toyota Gazoo Racing. The road-going version is limited to 100 units across Europe and - with the exception of the exclusive wrapping - has been tuned exclusively with accessories from the GR Centers. These include carbon fiber exterior mirror caps, carbon rear wing, black brake calipers with GR logo as well as front splitter and pedal caps from AC Schnitzer.
A core element of the special model is the Evo-T1 suspension from cooperation partner Bilstein, which is also represented with its own stand at the Essen Motor Show. With easily accessible adjustment wheels, the damper setting can be set in ten stages in parallel in rebound and compression. The suspension offers significantly more precise steering response and flexible and stepless lowering by up to 35 millimetres with a parts certificate. A Miltek sports exhaust system ensures that the in-line six-cylinder engine sounds just right. The wheels from Protrack are one of the lightest TÜV-approved cast wheels on the market.
The GR Supra "GT4 100th Edition Tribute" will be exhibited at the Essen Motor Show in the entrance area of Hall 5. Visitors to the show can also take part in a selfie competition here. The main prize is two one-day tickets for the "Toyota GR Experience" at next year's 24-hour race at the Nürburgring. The second and third place winners will receive tool accessories from Stahlwerk.
The two new models C-HR and Lexus LM, which go on sale in January and April respectively, will also be on display in Hall 3. (aum)
