VW Transporter completes the Bulli trio

Although Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles does not plan to present the successor to the T6.1 with a payload of over one tonne until 2024, pre-sales in Germany are due to start at the end of the year. The portfolio will include a panel van in two different lengths and heights, an estate, a platform van with a crew cab and the Caravelle shuttle version. This range can be combined with turbo diesel engines (TDI) as well as plug-in hybrid drives (eHybrid) and purely electric drives (e-Transporter and e-Caravelle).

"With our new Transporter, we have developed ultra-modern tools for professionals. Together with the Multivan and the ID. Buzz, we can now offer a range of vans tailored precisely to all our customers' wishes," says Lars Krause, Member of the Board of Management for Sales and Marketing at Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles. Further specifications of the new van are to be announced shortly. (aum)
