CES 2024: Magna e-Drive can rotate more than 90 degrees

Magna is presenting the next generation of its 800-volt e-Drive system at the CES in Las Vegas (-12.1.). The drop-in solution contains several advanced technologies, including the ability to rotate more than 90 degrees around the drive axle. The e-Drive is designed for vehicles from the compact to the luxury class. The unit delivers a peak output of 250 kW (340 hp) and a maximum torque at the axle of 5000 Newton meters.

The new generation is characterized by more compact dimensions, lower weight and higher efficiency. According to Magna, the system achieves an efficiency of up to 93 percent in real driving conditions and can be used both as a primary and secondary drive solution. (aum)
